Senior Remote Support Engineer

We are currently seeking a senior remote support engineer to join our rapidly expanding team.

The successful applicant will have a minimum of 6 years’ experience in a similar industry role and enjoy working with clients in a variety of industries. Salary will be based on previous experience with overtime opportunities and performance bonuses available.

The Position

  • Be an escalation point for remote technical support and problem resolution
  • Support a diverse range of platforms and technologies

Skills and Proficiency

Required

To be successful in this role you must have experience in some or all of the following technologies:

  • MS Server Technologies – including Server 2008-2016; SBS; AD; DFS; DHCP; DNS; TS/RDS
  • VMware and HyperV – setup and administration
  • Exchange 2010-2016 and Office 365 – migrations, installation and management
  • Backup and Recovery – Veeam, ShadowProtect, BackupAssist
  • Desktop support – OS and business applications
Desirable

Experience in the following areas is advantageous:

  • SQL
  • SharePoint
  • Public Cloud

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Commitment to the delivery of quality service
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients
  • Prior experience working with a systems integrator or managed services will be viewed favourably
