Bubble Soccer at New Farm Park
It’s Saturday morning, a perfect Brisbane winters day. With 20 staff in attendance, this well anticipated event was sure to go down in TechPath history.
Based on a German sports comedy show, Bubble Soccer involves large inflatable balls that allow two teams to bump and bounce their way around a field, providing the ultimate entertainment for players and spectators alike.
With so much action and spills, we managed to draw crowds of onlookers who were dazzled by what was unfolding in the middle of New Farm Park.
The soccer games ran in 3-minute intervals and our team certainly got their morning workout. Holding up the bubble added to the intensity and when knocked down, there was an art to getting back up again. Remove the soccer ball and we come to our second game, blue team vs green team, knock down style. The competition was heated, and both teams gave it their all to come out on top. Our final game was last man standing. Starting with just one bubble in the middle, this guy had to work hard to knock down others to build his task force, until only one winner remained.
For those considering a similar event, we can highly recommend Zoccer Sports. A 2 hour session of Bubble Soccer was more than enough for our team of 16 players, and could easily cater for 24-32 players. For further details check out their website www.zoccersports.com.au
The variety of games kept everyone interested and we certainly saw some clashes that will be spoken of for many years to come.
It was inspiring to see so much of the TechPath team get involved, and we are very proud to be able to offer these types of activities. Our annual calendar of events encourages health and fitness and caters to all interests whether it be fitness, family, social or team building. We feel that giving our employees the opportunity to participate in new experiences promotes confidence, work life balance, team morale, and enhanced mental health.
We like to keep things interesting and have completed many unique events over the years. Some highlights have included circus arts trapeze, kayaking the Brisbane river, cycling to eat street markets, ROC Race (Ridiculous Obstacle Course), minute to win it, office table tennis tournaments, and so much more.
Our next event is the 5km Bridge to Brisbane followed by a Family Fun Day in the Park.
